Dear Tapestry Family,
Have you ever had one of those days? You know, where everything that CAN go wrong, DOES go wrong. Usually those days happen after the Tapestry has some of its greatest accomplishments or meets their greatest goals. Well, here's my new thought. We may fall down, but we get up again. You should never count us out! (OK, maybe it's not my thought. Maybe it's lyrics from a song that I am totally butchering. I'm not very original you know. HAHAHA!). But if you are out there today feeling the same way, know this; you aren't alone!
If you ever saw the old movie, "Mystery Men," that's where I get this philosophy. I love the whole concept of misfit heroes that are horrible at what they do as long as they are alone, but when they are together, their strange, non-leathal powers are able to overcome the worst of enemies! I love this whole concept of needing each other. The ideas behind Cheers!, Friends, and even Stand By Me.
Another thought I love from the Mystery Men movie is, "We're not the most popular, the best looking or even the most likely to succeed. We're not the ones that you look to when the chips are down, no, we're the other guys!" And then later in the movie after their success, "This one goes out to the little guys, the ones that never get noticed or thanked. You know, the bus driver, the stay at home mom, the janitor, etc."
Now, I know I just butchered that whole set of speeches and probably misquoted them, but this is the heartbeat of what I want to share with all of us today church. Don't give up. "Don't tire of doing good works." When everything goes wrong and everyone is against you, remember the ONE who is in your corner. "YOU CAN DO IT!" (Waterboy) So, for all us Bobby Boucher's out there, know this, we all have hard times. It's what we do with them. When the small group grows smaller, when the servanthood & kindness acts bring in hate mail and bad phone calls, when their are daggers in men's smiles, when the only song you know to sing is, "Blessed be the Name," by Matt Redman. It's OK! You are not alone. There are NOT many wise, NOT many STRONG, not many NOBLE that are chosen. But GOD chooses the weak, to shame the strong, the seemingly foolish to shame the wise and he uses the ones picked last for the Dodgeball team to show the whole world that there is a GREAT GOD when he makes you Dodgeball champion of the world! Well, enough chit chat for me. I have to get back to administrating the system at work. I just had someone walk up and tell me their system is down. As I said, don't grow weary! Have you ever had one of those days? I have. And you can read on and see what we have been doing to get back up and start running again! We May Fall Down. But we get up again!

Hello Everyone,
The Tapestry website has gone through a little bit of transition and turmoil and has made it! We hope that you enjoy our NEW, IMPROVED, UPGRADED and MORE POWERFUL blog site.
After our Operation Halloween Community Service event, we had such a response that our site's host crashed and lost our database information. We have had such an outpouring of visitors that the guts and workings of the site which were built in 2004-2005 just couldn't handle it. But that's just water over the falls now.

AHA!
So, rather than upgrade, we started over from scratch. So, please bare with us as we go through a little more transition, but we believe that this site will be around to serve us all better long into the future.
And actually, if you think about it, we really can't complain that we had too many people visit. Thanks for coming!
And by the way, keep your eyes open, because now we are about to start offering our services by podcast, our old archive, a better photo gallery (which is down right now) and so many other new, great things! So, thanks for making us work hard.
We appreciate your visit.
"Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God."
- Matthew 5:3-9
